#HealthJusticeCampgnKsm is not yet Over

Yes the Doctors strike has ended,What about vulnerable citizens whose health was affected and fatalities due to the strike? what about clinical officers and impending Nurses strike? . What about Healthcare workers who were affected by donor funding? . What about stockouts, UHC??? Poor management of facilities. I'll equipped facilities. Human resources gaps. Safety factors or plans to avert such crisis in future. Domestic resources mobilization. We demand an audit from the Governor and his team! We demand justice..

Big Pharma have not been left behind either and are keen on political leadership as entry points for clinical trials in the name of CSR to supporting our vulnerable health systems in exchange of space undertake drug trials on medicines which our communities might not access anytime soon. Evergreening, Extension of Expired Patents effects on access to medicines

A patent is a form of intellectual property that gives its owner the legal right to exclude others from making, using, selling and importing an invention for a limited period of years, in exchange for publishing an enabling public disclosure of the invention. Extending expired patents using crooked ways by big Pharma is killing people all over the world. Agencies in government and our regional bodies are sleeping in their jobs some even sleeping with big Pharma. Out dated agreements need to be reviewed and ratified to protect the poor and vulnerable so that they can access medicine. We can not talk of UHC without looking the patent laws which are a big barrier to access affordable treatment and medicines. #Fixpatentlaws

Putting community at the forefront

Living positive each and every day is not a walk in the park. You face all the odds from unlikely quarters, some are your friends, colleagues, family etc. Everyday I receive phonecalls on crosscutting issues from meds stockouts, #GBV, lost to follow, none adherence to #HIV and #TB meds, human rights violations and supporting Grassroot advocates.I do all this on voluntary basis thanks to organizations like @KELINKenya, @gnpplus through Candlelight Memorial for entrusting me as National Coordinator for Kenya. National Aids Control Council Kenya 🇰🇪 and Centre for Global Health and Research, Kisumu Kenya 🇰🇪 as a representative of people living with HIV in the Community Advisory Board

My heart is in the Grassroots . Unknown to many this is where we need a lot of investment unfortunately there is none or people with power do not simply care to tap the wealth of knowledge in  communities as they are academic

. Mere talk and lots of literature without practical aspect is failing us.

There is need for reorganization for the infected and affected communities at the #Grassroots to take charge and do away with #AIDS by 2030. Let communities be at the centre not the sidelines. Don't give up the fight

Sour fruits of corruption and nepotism in my country

There is growing arrogance by people working in public institutions to an extent that they don't care and are confident that they believe they are invincible our health care system and education bearing the biggest brunt . Attributing factors are political patronage and nepotism. These are the seedlings of corruption. Why would someone create a go slow to frustrate patients, to raise their anxiety on fear of delay since some of them come from far flung areas, to induce them to be in a frantical state that by paying something the will be served faster. This common in some departments in our referrals hospitals when change of shift is about to take place. On UHC and Referrals is also is like being between a stone and a hard rock even if you have followed all the procedures you are still frustrated by the computer system which all of us know is an invention that is supposed to provide real time data. Me think incompetence, unethical and none observation and lack training on human rights coupled with as mentioned earlier is what puts us here
