Dear Sir/Madam RE: INTERNATIONAL AIDS CANDLELIGHT MEMORIAL Refer to the above subject. The local TB and hiv coalition intends to organizing an a activity for children on 16th may 2015. This is to ensure children’s involvement on issues that affect them and also to make their voices heard . We as G-NET (Grass Root Network) are intending to commemorate the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial a with childrens activity #EndAdolescentAIDS #SautiSkika on Saturday 16th May 2015 at Pandpieri catholic centre and we are calling for support from likeminded people and organizations. The objective will be to raise awareness on TB and HIV issues among children especially in disclosure, testing,prevention,vaccines, treatment and care. We also plan to have, video shows discussions, procession, speeches (by children) sensitize guardians /caregivers and we will also light candles. Dear Colleagues REF;RESOURCE MOBILIZATION I hope this gets you well .Have the pleasure of joining our local TB-HIV/AIDS coalition-G-NET (Grass Root Network) in planning the memorial and related activities, which will be held in Kisumu city. The Iternational AIDS Canndlelight Memorial is one of the world’s oldest and largest grassroots mobilization campaigns for HIV awareness. The International AIDS Candlelight Memorial takes place every third Sunday in May. It is led by a coalition of community organizations in 115 countries, and is coordinated at the global level by the Global Network of People living with HIV We as G-NET (Grass Root Network) are intending to commemorate the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial a with childrens activity

RUGBY ROUNDTABLE SERIES

Youths in Kisumu city,Kisumu County out of their own initiative organized a friendly Rugby tournament involving teams from Nyalenda,Mamboleo and Nyamasaria,The matches were played at Nyamasaria Pr School.This is a step forward for rugby in Kisumu City which has only one club that is Kisumu Rugby Football Club .The youths are calling upon the county goverment to improve sports infrastructure so that more youths can spend more time in sports other than activities like substance abuse which can lead to criminal activities and other risky behaviors that can lead to HIV ,TB, STIs etc
